Varick Media Management is a marketing services company, which delivers targeted online advertising on behalf of clients, such as advertising agencies and brands themselves. The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to outline how we use your information to deliver targeted advertisements on the web as well as to outline the privacy practices for information we collect on this website, varickmm.com.

Varick Media Management observes the Self-Regulatory Principles for Online Behavioral Advertising set forth by the Digital Advertising Alliance (www.aboutads.info) and partners with Evidon to manage our opt-out process. We are also members of the Network Advertising Initiative (www.networkadvertising.org). 1. OUR SERVICES: Varick Media Management purchases online advertising on behalf of our clients. Varick Media Management uses a range of ad serving and pixel serving technologies, which come into contact with a user’s computer through an Internet browser. When our technologies recognize a user’s computer, we may serve an advertisement based upon that computer’s past online behavior. For example, if you have visited a website that sells shoes, we may serve you advertisements for shoes. Our service recognizes the activities of the particular computer’s Internet browser, not a particular user.
2. CONSUMER INFORMATION COLLECTION AND USE BY VARICK MEDIA MANAGEMENT THROUGH ITS SERVICES: At no point in the delivery of an ad does Varick Media Management collect personally identifiable information such as name, address, phone number or email address. However, you may choose to voluntarily provide such information to an advertiser through their advertisement or website. When you provide information to an advertiser, Varick Media Management is not involved in such transaction and you should read the privacy policy of such advertiser to understand how your information will be used.Varick Media Management does collect certain non-personally identifiable information through the use of cookies and pixels (described further below) when you come into contact with our clients’ advertisements. This anonymous data may include web browser type (e.g. Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Internet Explorer), computer operating system (e.g. Microsoft Windows), geographic location as inferred from IP address, search queries previously entered on third party websites, websites visited, and other information that does not specifically identify you. This information is based upon the activities of the computer’s Internet browser. It is sometimes called “clickstream” data.We use this non-personally identifiable information collected from a computer to serve relevant ads to that computer based upon its browsing history.Despite our best efforts, if we ever inadvertently collect personally identifiable information through our service, we will not knowingly use such personally identifiable information in connection with our advertising targeting services.

CONSUMER INFORMATION COLLECTION AND USE BY VARICK MEDIA MANAGEMENT THROUGH THIS WEBSITE: While our services do not involve the collection of personally identifiable information, you may choose to voluntarily provide us with personally identifiable information through the contact form hosted on our website at: http://www.varickmm.com/about/contact-us/.When you choose to provide us with personally identifiable information this way, we may use the information to contact you regarding your request and to add you to our newsletter or contact list. We may also share this information with our affiliated companies under our same corporate parent. Except as set forth in this Privacy Policy, we will not share such information with any third party without your consent, except as required by law, to investigate suspected fraud or illegal activities or in connection with a merger, sale or reorganization of Varick Media Management. Our vendors and contractors may also have access to your personally identifiable information, but only for the purpose of performing services for us.
4. HOW INFORMATION IS STORED: “Cookies” are small files that may be placed on your computer by a service for the purpose of facilitating and enhancing your communication and interaction with that service. We use cookies to collect non-personally identifiable information about the use of a computer’s Internet browser and to store information on the computer so that we may serve targeted advertisements. DATA RETENTION: We do not proactively set expiration dates on our cookies; however, due to the nature of cookie deletion and browser refreshes, cookies are typically deleted by a user (such as through a Norton or McAfee program) or are flushed from the browser within 30 days. For certain campaigns, we employ recency settings on our cookies such that they expire after a specific period of time for the purpose of keeping the cookie current.
6. OPTING OUT OF ADVERTISING TARGETED BY VARICK MEDIA MANAGEMENT: Users who wish to opt-out of cookie-based ad targeting by Varick Media Management can do so by visiting the Evidon “Opt out of Tracking” page here: http://www.evidon.com/consumers/profile_manager#tab3. We will then store an ‘opt-out’ cookie on your computer to indicate to us that you no longer wish to see targeted advertising and we will no longer collect non-personally identifiable information from your computer for such purposes. When you delete your cookies, change browsers or use a different cookie, our cookie (or an opt-out cookie) may no longer work and you will have to revisit the Evidon website to opt-out again.
7. OPTING OUT OF OUR USE OF YOUR PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION: If you would like us to stop using your personally identifiable information collected through this website, then send us an email at privacy@varickmm.com, and we will process your request within a reasonable time after receipt.
8. SECURITY: We understand that security is an important aspect of any data collection practice. Therefore, we have put in place and shall maintain reasonable physical and electronic security to try to prevent unauthorized access to, or use of, your information. However, as an Internet-based business, we are unable to control every aspect of data collection or use and cannot guarantee that unauthorized access or use will never occur.
9. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY: We reserve the right, at our discretion, to change, modify, improve, clarify, or remove portions from this Privacy Policy at any time. However, if at any time in the future we plan to use personally identifiable information in a way that materially differs from this Privacy Policy, such as sharing such information with more third parties, we will post such changes here and provide you the opportunity to opt-out of such differing uses.
10. DATA STORED IN UNITED STATES OF AMERICA: Our servers are maintained in the United States of America. By providing use with your personally identifiable information, you freely and specifically give us your consent to export your personally identifiable information to the USA and to store and use it in the USA as specified in this Privacy Policy.
